New Years 2013 some guy thought it’d be cool to grab and kiss me.
To this day he see’s nothing wrong about it, he’s encouraged by ‘friends’ that he was just ‘taking a shot’. Like it was some romantic act to walk up to a girl, try to kiss her, and dash off.
To this day, I get told I overreacted for ending our ‘friendship’ and deleting him off a social media site. To this day, I get told it’s my fault that he feels awkward around our mutual friend.
And I’m sick of it. Sick of having to even explain that I wasn’t flirting with him, that I had been sitting there alone and briefly with someone else. That we weren’t interacting - like if we were it would even justify anything. I’m sick of being told that I’m ‘overreacting’.
It’s my damn body, it violated my private space and my comfort. Therefore if I want to react, in what I believe is/was actually quite a civil way, then I will fucking well do so. So you can shut your damn face, and you can tell your friend/s to shut their damn pie holes, because it was not ‘cool’.
